I removed an adjustable ABS P-trap under a bathroom sink to clean out the sink overflow with a plunger. Ive got the P-trap back on now, but its leaking at the union-type connection between the two halves of the P-trap.

At first I had a leak at every fitting but Ive since replaced the ptrap again with with different brand and the leaks (except 1) have stopped. The one leak that I cant figure out is the p trap leaking at unionslip joint that goes into my 1 1/2 abs pipe。

The new ABS p trap is leaking a little bit at the threads where the two pieces of the trap join. The threads are not cross threaded and the the clear plastic washer is in place.。
